Krysalis®

Destroying PFAS, Restoring Soil, Zero Waste

Thermal desorption uses heat to remove PFAS from contaminated soils.

Heating soils to 350–400°C can achieve PFAS removal efficiencies of 99.9%

for compounds such as PFOS and PFOA.

Direct removal of PFAS from the soil matrix with Krysalis® by Haemers Technologies

In Korsør, Denmark, Krysalis® was demonstrated at full scale in partnership with Denmark's five regions and the University of Copenhagen. The project treated 60 tonnes of heavily PFAS-contaminated soil. Result: no detectable PFAS in the treated soil, and none in the emissions.

✅ Proven high treatment efficiency (>99.9%)

✅ Rapid treatment times

✅ Reduced long-term liability

✅ Applicable to highly contaminated source zones

✅ Vapor Treatment = Heating Sytem through vapor reburning

✅ No waste generated

Key Benefits

🎯 Permanent PFAS Removal

Eliminates PFAS from contaminated soils rather than transferring or containing the pollution.

⚡ Fast Remediation

Delivers results in days or weeks, accelerating site cleanup and redevelopment.

📈 Proven High Efficiency

Achieves PFAS removal rates exceeding 99.9% for major compounds such as PFOS and PFOA.

💧 Protects Groundwater

Removes source-zone contamination and reduces the risk of future PFAS migration.

🛡️ Reduces Long-Term Liability

Provides a sustainable remediation solution aligned with increasingly stringent environmental regulations
